We're looking for an organized and dependable parts specialist to join our team. This position plays an important role in keeping our shop running efficiently by ensuring our technicians have the right parts when they need them.
If you have experience working with heavy truck or equipment parts, enjoy staying organized, and work well in a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you. Pay is based on experience.
What You'll Be Doing
As our parts specialist, you'll be responsible for managing parts inventory and supporting our service department with the parts and supplies needed to complete repairs.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ordering heavy truck and equipment parts
- Receiving, stocking and organising inventory
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Performing inventory and cycle counts
- Issuing parts, tools and supplies to technicians
- Ordering emergency parts from approved vendors
- Preparing parts requisitions
- Processing parts returns and warranty claims
- Keeping the parts room clean and organised
- Driving a company vehicle to pick up parts when required
- Providing excellent customer service to both staff and customers
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Two years of experience researching, ordering, receiving and issuing automotive or heavy equipment parts
- Knowledge of heavy truck or heavy equipment parts and supplies
- Good computer skills (Fullbay experience is an asset)
- Ability to read and use parts catalogues
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work well with customers, vendors and technicians
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
