We're looking to add an experienced heavy truck mechanic to join our growing team at Complete HTR. We have both shop-based and field service opportunities available. Pay is based on experience and is open for discussion for qualified candidates.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Performing routine preventive maintenance
- Completing DOT inspections
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Repairing diesel engines, drivetrains, brake systems, steering and suspension components
- Repairing hydraulic, heating and air conditioning systems
- Using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools safely and effectively
- Test driving vehicles to verify repairs
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Your own tools
- Ability to regularly lift heavy parts and equipment
- Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces when required
- A willingness to perform field service work, including after-hours and weekend work for field technician positions
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Experience using diagnostic computers
- CDL Class A licence
